Victorio Food Vegetable Strainer Review
My Grandma, Aunts, and Mother have all used Victorio Strainers for decades and the advice I got was, "buy a Victorio". (Not sure if any of them ever owned anything different.) Some have different versions, but they all love them and faithfully use them every year!!! My Aunt and Mother have never had theirs break, and they have put a lot of 'miles' on their machines. It sure makes canning easier, because you don't have to core or peel the apples. (not sure if fruit with big pits like Prunes and Peaches need to be pitted.) Apples need to be cut in half or in quarters, but these machines sure make the process a whole lot easier!!! I've looked at other machines that do a similar process, but most are similar in cost and you still have to do more work. My sister bought one a year or so ago and loves hers! I'm dreaming of the applesauce I'm going to make, cause I'm buying one today!!!

Hard to find, but worth it - G. Parson - Utah
My wife has used one of these for many years for all kinds of food preparation. Key examples include canning, jams, sauces, and juices. It's a crucial component in the process and a tremendous time-saver. For several years they were very hard to find. This year we were thrilled to be able to purchase one through Amazon for a good friend who loves to "put food by". She's now another believer. If you're serious about food preservation, you need one. Its very durable as well.br /br /One warning though: Be prepared for juice and pulp to coat a wide area of your kitchen when you use it. It's not a design flaw, its just the nature of the process. So, if you're afraid of sticky messes, don't even think about it. However, if you're willing to do a little clean up, the quality of the food you feed your family will be drammatically improved.
....Highly Recommend.... - Bread Head - Arlington, Texas
Bought this item to make homemade applesauce.br /br /Seller shipped same day of order, order arrived next day (Seller had only claimed next day shipment with free shipping which was up-to 5-business days.) 5-STARS for the Seller!br /br /The unit contains many improvements over the similar stainless steel unit that was commonly sold in the US circa 1950/1960's. br /br /The only minor concern still remaining is the sheer bulk and torque of use of the item as it is attached to the counter-top/breadboard/cutting board. Just be cautious of how hard/fast one is 'cranking' the handle and periodically check to ensure that the Victorio is still solidly attached to the counter-top and you should not have any issues.
